I put on my DIY hat several years ago and made curtians for the living room and dining room. The fabric is Laura Ashley Harwood in Crimson and, frankly, the curtains are Too Die For.
Mrs. Fickel, my Girl Scout troup leader from 3,721,046,209 years ago, sent me a Girl Scout badge after she saw a photo of the curtains. How cute is she?
In June my friend Dawn took me to Printer's Alley in Richmond, VA. The fabric stores in Maine are a little hosey. In Printer's Alley, I fell in love with this fabric which was called "Disneyland" in the store (but with a "jet" background)...
Seriously, don't you love it? It's 75% Josef Frank and 25% old school chintz. Did I mention that it is nubbly? Delish!
After a painful amount of google searches, I've finally figured out that the fabric is Braemore Wonderland in Jet. The sneaky ladies at Printer's Alley rename the fabric they sell so you cannot find it cheaper somewhere else.
So Wonderland is about to be welcomed into Cape 18, maybe as a couch? a pair of chairs? a bench? pillows?
Stay tuned.
