I've Decided.

I've decided that my friend Nina's sunroom should (and could easily) look like this

Her sunroom also serves as the guestroom and opens right into the livingroom with french doors. The livingroom includes similar colours, but has more blues and greens and fewer whites and creams. The turquoise wicker coffee table could be replaced with some sort wicker table / trunk that could house all of the guest bedding and towels when not in use.

My cousin is coming over this weekend to help install wooden risers on my stairwell!! Let the mayhem begin.

Guest Room

On Thursday, I went to Ikea with friend Maggie.

MISSION:
Purchase two black and white striped Stockholm Rand rugs... and pancakes...
and a pepsi float at the end of the day.

The rugs are for my guestroom, which is being made to look like this livingroom (lounge) with a fantastic pink wicker couch. (Absolutely Beautiful Things blog).

Here is what I bought:
* a vase
* two boxes of cookies
* wrapping paper and ribbon
* a scarf hanger
* a bottle of sparkling cider
* a red sparkly Christmas Tree thing for Tim and Patty. (Everyone needs one of those?)

Here is what I didn't buy:
* two Stockholm Rand rugs.

Why? Because they were out. The whole country is out. If Ikea has stopped making this rug, I'm be furious. I've spray painted the wicker bed pink and painted the floor white. Now I want a striped rug. Please.
