The bathroom needs some love... A little sugar... Some white tiled sugar
A few years ago I bought a bee-u-tee-ful, Josef Frank-esque shower curtain from The Pottery Barn. That helped in a "lipstick on a pig" kind of way.
The sink is a cabnet sink with gold fixtures. So many things to dislike, so little time. Thankfully one of the cabinet doors was recently, accidently ripped off by a visiting child. YAHOO! Instant excuse for a new sink; I want a pedestal sink. Fortunately the bathroom has a big closet, so storage space is not an issue. Kohler Memoirs or something similar, square and classic will soon be moving in. (Minus the gold fixtures).
A pedistal sink means that I need to get a new floor. Bye-bye old linoleum, Hello hex tile!
If the floor is changing, the bathroom deserves a new tub and toilet too. The existing tub/shower is a biscuit "surround" single unit thing-y. Enter a REAL tub and 3 walls of white subway tile. Yes, yes, I know the picture below isn't subway tile, but it's the idea - white tub, white tile walls, white tile floor. Yum.
